Oil should only be handled by the people and corporations that know how to handle it; it shouldn't just be returned to the common folks and do whatever they want with it.

Venezuela is and always has been full of slums. Dirty poor. Instead of reinvesting the money they've got from oil their so-called bolivarian revoultionaires stolen it, and purged highly qualified people from oil sector. US didnt governed Venezuela for 25 years, Chavez, Maduro and his croonies did.

I don't mind a little U.S. intervention in Venezuela if the main goal is to topple Maduro from power, whether it's through war or like Pablo Escobar.

The sanctions in Venezuela are more part of a self-inflicted wound that started with Chavez firing their best oil workers and destroying the country.
