d...do you think Sothis was talking to a player avatar? i think it would be an interesting choice if a player avatar showed up later in the story like a surprise? or is that silly?
i can finish old fe3h fanarts and it will be relevant 🔥

I'm scared that a huge issue is not being aware:
On Aug 29th the US is removing the de minimis rule on all packages. Being international, de minimis meant no one payed tariffs on my goods since it was under $800. Now there will be a $80-200 fee to receive my art. Even for a $5 sticker. 🔸(1/4)

Stop debating this website's growth potential. I don't care. I'm a digital hermit crab. If it dies, I'll find another shell as I've done a dozen times before.
easiest way if you cant find the setting inside the app, is to go to youre instagram app permissions and turn off location
Jiyan🐉 update! #art #Bouquet

do people not realize "depressing content" resonates with a lot of people because in real life people dont want to bring up emotions that others see as negative 🙄😔 people are literally scared to tell their own friends about sad topics and stories can give catharsis and help people move on

Some people just seem to want to eliminate all potential sources of discomfort, no matter how small or innocuous, from their lives. Fiction allows you to model experiencing big emotions in a safe controlled setting, and I just don't think any good comes of avoiding that to this degree
A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.
[quoting a tweet from isabelunraveled in which she rails against depressing books that get branded as “great writing”]

"identity verification for contributors" why? so they can get harassed?
"censor harmful topics" again why? so we can pretend bad things dont happen?
OSA is gonna make us lose access to fucking wikipedia

write to your MPs.
unfortunately for the WoL i am a trqgedy enjoyer, i cannot cry for me 😔 but i WILL cry for you 🤗

watching wol get thrown on the ground by ilberd during the bloody banquet, getting poisoned by an ishgard girl, flipped by zenos two times, having their soul crack because of light, vomiting said light three times, being held hostage, and having their body possessed while crawling in an old corpse
really roundabout way of saying censoring fictional stories doesnt really help 😭 having clear tags and warnings is more helpful

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.
“Wikipedia is this economic anomaly. In many ways, it’s sort of magical that people will just volunteer without explicit economic incentives to create artifacts that are meant to share knowledge with everyone in the world”
