Hello bluesky, I'm the person who did this nonsense. Second batch of peepswine is currently almost ready to bottle! A friend requested it for his wedding

I made a Dalamud Plugin "PvPAnnouncer" which brings Metem from the Arcadion into your PvP Match! Search for it in the installer!

Supports all #FFXIV PvP gamemodes, even Rival Wings!

"It is against the TOS to be talked into suicide by our LLM" is possibly the most evil tech bro thing I've ever read
Additionally, OpenAI argues its not liable because Raine, by using ChatGPT for self-harm, broke its terms of service

This post delighted me so much that I had to try and voice it the way it sounded in my head. I love this character

From someone who didn't realize then uninstalled.

- Doesn't disclose usage on steam which is REQUIRED!
- used for character generation
- NPCs use chatbots, even if selective
- people reporting generated npc voices

"But it's not a core part-" Playing it is still supporting the fascist theft machine

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

To be unhinged and pathetically intense about your fun little obsessions and yearnings is actually very freeing and good for you.

1: Y'all have GOT to stop quoting that "defending people I think are annoying" post at the people you are purportedly defending. It's fucking rude.
2: If you think polyamory is annoying, hey, enjoy 2012 while it lasts cause it's all downhill from there. Also sit down and analyze why you think that.

the problem with modern fantasy movies is that they stopped having bizarre plot detours where the hero encounters a fucked-up practical effect creature with a crazy rule like "you can't make any sounds around this thing or it turns you into glass" that exist only to traumatize 8-year-olds

Some of us have been advocating this going back since chatGPT launched. It also has other benefits: correcting someone else's work is actually a really good way to learn something yourself.

Whoa it's almost like this entire cultural movement is based on fake bullshit at every level and our leaders should stop letting fucking social media dictate policy
Twitter had to turn off its location feature within hours because thousands of prominent and "verified" MAGA accounts turned out to be foreign and I think it's hilarious that Elon was the one who exposed them all

I'm gonna be real here I don't think we need to be paying this much attention to a 25-person startup
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

y'know, if tech companies weren't so fired up to call every single thing "AI" it would be a lot easier to distinguish "ML spam filter that is well-sandboxed and tuned on your emails" from "giant context and IP-eroding foundation model that makes people paranoid and unhappy"
since the "google is now training gemini on your email contents" thing keeps bumping around here: it's _not happening_. I say this not to defend google but because I know a lot of people that have broken their filtering and made their lives much more annoying from sheer misinformation.
The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.

I know anti-tech lamenting is a Bluesky core principle, but please use the same judgement you would for any other clickbait.
