Definitely! (Fireworks are pretty but I hate the random explosions.)
I'd probably take some just to be on the safe side, but I've never knowingly underpacked for anything, ever, so...........
-Draft 7/8 - Plotting + plan
-Draft 1 - formatting and other stuff

All that, plus the usual household chores and finding some time to get some exercise!

So time to get moving. Updates, as and when <3
So, the list for the weekend:
-Draft 5 - Need to do a check through and then I can post
-Draft 2 - Review things, final (FINAL!) bits, export, format and print
-Draft 6 - Review and add 3k words
-Website admin task 1 (WW)
-Website admin task 2 (MS)
-Website admin task 3 (GF)
-Draft 3 - Review
Morning :)

It's Friday and (at least currently) the sun's out which always makes things look better.

Currently dealing with my list of weekly jobs (about half way through already). Once that's all tackled, though, I should be able to start on the list of doom (unless my clients have other ideas!)
Time to send the necessary emails for my day job stuff, refill my coffee mug and generally start putting a dent in the day <3
...and it does mean I can spend the wait time doing other things!

Draft 5 is almost good to go, so that will likely be first up.

Then draft 2, which I really, REALLY need to wrap up today/tomorrow.

If I can also squeeze in some draft 6, that would be great, too.

So...
Morning :)

Better today - not quite so randomly sore and there might even be something that looks like motivation!

The day job list is down to four items, none of which I can actually do much with unless/until people get back to me, which is mildly annoying, but also how it goes sometimes...

I lost the framed original of this while I was going through St Pancras on Sunday Nov 2nd around 3pm. Would love if it had been found by anyone?
Eek! (I also would like to know the answer to this question...)
Alas, I always wanted Brio but I had to settle for a plastic set (which I bent to make a bridge, because otherwise it was just a flat oval!).
I am, thanks - the donwannas went away with the coffee and the random aches eased off thanks to the marvels of a heat pad and ibuprofen. Fingers crossed that neither return! <3
Not just men - although I would debate the use of 'begins', given I've wanted a miniature railway since I was 3...
...be able to cross off today. (That would be nice!)

Yesterday was a good writing day (draft 5 is nearly ready!), so I'm hoping for more of the same with work needed on drafts 5, 2 and 6 (more or less in that order).

And before all of that, pain killers, coffee and a hot water bottle refresh! <3
Morning :)

Very slow start today. Random bits of me hurt and I have a very bad case of the donwannas...but as I'm also the only person working today I don't really have the option to opt out. Plus, I am working from home, so it's not all bad!

Day job list has a few things on which I might even...

One of the better photos I've taken of a stubble corridor fading into the distance during high summer as a miscellaneous sky stands guard and collects its thoughts.

It's aaaaliiiiiive!!! HEART OF STONE is now available again! Vampires and dragons and djinn, oh my! Welcome to the world of the Old Races as Margrit Knight discovers her hot new client isn't just wanted for murder - he's also a gargoyle!

...and with a little time for draft 5 (this month's Friday Fiction is time-sensitive). I'd also like to do some work on draft 6, if I can.

So lots to do. But first, coffee and a mince pie! <3
Morning :)

After the early sing-a-long (not sorry!), it's time to get down to work.

The day job list has six things on, most of which I can't actually finish until people get back to me (which is mildly annoying) so while I wait (and once I've done what I can!), it's back on draft 2...
Given what you do, I'd imagine it's stuck fairly permanently!

(Your photos are always a bright spot in the day.)
If *I* have to be earwormed, so do you...

(Beautiful photo, mind!)
Underground, Overground

My hunt to find locations where you can see Underground trains traveling over Overground trains (or vice versa) continues.

This vantage point near East Putney station has views of tube trains traveling over the railway. I waited 30 mins to get this shot.

@pottedhistory.bsky.social and I spent the morning in @nationaltrust.org.uk' Cragside. It's looking fabulous at the moment- full of autumn colour and fruitfullness. #Rothbury #Northumberland
But you do have to be careful with it outside of this kind of situation, otherwise you can be done for having an offensive person on your weapon.
...even if it DID uncover the need for a few more rewrites in draft 2. Oops.

Today looks like being a busy day job day, so my only non-day job thing is going to be those draft 2 rewrites.

So distractoweb off, fairylights on and time to get cracking with the five urgent day job tasks... <3
