All I’m saying is there people doing this that consider themselves Christians, even if you don’t. It appears that you are arguing abt the label but I think that may be missing the point.

Welp it’s what the Black church was doing during the Civil Rights Movement. It’s called Black Liberation theology, you can read abt it in the work of James H Cone. It’s using the philosophy of Jesus in the gospels to make practical the fight against oppression, injustice, and economic exploitation

It’s a bit inaccurate to say that. Entire liberation movements were developed by people of faith and their interpretation of the actual gospels. The Civil Rights Movement was led by the Black church on the doctrine of love, enacted through justice and community care.

They think that means loving other believers. You know, the 20 people they talk to at church

They also think “love” is simply saving people from going to hell. While they’re the ones making people’s lives hell on earth.

I missed this earlier this week, but the Directors of NIAID, NICHD, NIMHD, & NINR were all fired. The NIAID Director, Mazzaro, was likely fired in retaliation for speaking out against the anti-vaccine moves made by the administration.

Sometimes in my journal, I write as my future self reflecting on a day in the life I hope for. Like a diary entry from the future. So I have a very clear picture of what I want it to look like.

Sometimes I worry I’m setting myself up for disappointment, but it feels good to have hope. And clarity.
