I have no inside info on @karenattiah.bsky.social's case. But I know Post employees are part of @postguild.bsky.social, and their contract allows the union to challenge "disciplinary action on the basis that is was taken without just cause."

So what's just cause?

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News.

A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.

Continuing the theme--they finally make a few plays on defense, get a TO, and then immediately waste it because a player 30 yards from the action smacks an opponent in the face. The lack of discipline on this team would be astounding if it weren't the singular accomplishment of Mike Norvell's reign.

Just for the record--I also don't want to sound like I'm demanding rationalizations or justifications for what you do. Point is, you're professionals who do something, and then students who you work with come to us. We should just trust that you know what you're doing and designed accordingly....

I have to admit I'm not thrilled (as somebody with a PhD in comp/writing studies) to have my field reduced to "basic skills." Our field has been pushing against that for 50 years, obviously not successfully. Otherwise, fully endorse.

Too many of us in higher ed believe HS is where students are supposed to learn all the things we'd rather not teach. I get weird looks from colleagues when I tell them that since I've never trained for nor taught HS, I would never tell you what your job is. Not sure why that's hard to understand.

Once again, Mike Norvell's inability to convince his players to do simple things right costs his team points. Today's episode (so far): 3 4th down conversions they could have stopped if they'd made sound tackles instead of trying to strip possession. It was 4th down, fellas.

Fits squarely into their eugenicist approach. No point in reporting or warning about diseases. People who die were weak and the gene pool is better off without them. Or if you're more Christian Nationalist than pseudo-scientific, God will protect you, so no point in sciencing about it.
