A $3 million campaign wants you to think ballot proposals 2–4 are about “affordable housing.”

In reality, they’d take power away from New Yorkers and hand it to the Mayor and their appointees—with no guarantee of creating truly affordable homes.

Vote NO on 2–4. #Election2025 #NYCVotes

Yeah I saw someone call them a word salad which I think is accurate. I've been messaging all my friends who vote with articles bc they're all super confusing or misleading, imo!

Yeah, no one flocks to the polls on the first weekend of early voting because they can't wait to fill in that bubble for Andrew Cuomo.

I'm the oldest cohort of Gen X and I'm so excited to vote for Mamdani. Confusion over ballot proposals is the only reason I didn't vote yesterday.

Don’t be fooled.

Ballot Questions 2–4 aren’t about “affordable housing” — they’re about shifting power away from the people.

New York, VOTE NO on Props 2, 3 and 4. They say pretty words about “affordable housing” but really allow developers to sidestep oversight from YOUR elected reps and build without accountability. Don’t give up your own voice in what gets built in YOUR community. More info at:

Vote No on ballot proposals 2-4
The misleading nature of Mayor Adams’ ballot proposal language for questions 2-4 leaves voters without a clear understanding of the implications of their decisions.

Leaders from the Dem and Repub conferences of the Council have urged the BOE to reject these proposals due to the deceptive language.

Vote NO on proposals 2, 3, and 4 - a real estate developer's Trojan Horse.

Proposals 2-4 sound nice, but they're actually a massive giveaway to real estate developers - expediting our community's displacement.

Silicon Valley “pro-housing” groups are spending $3M to influence NYC’s election. Why?

To boost real estate profits — not build affordable homes — by cutting communities out of the process.

VOTE NO on 2–4 and spread the word: whatsonmyballot.nyc

Let’s not forget our last four mayors:
Giuliani
Bloomberg
de Blasio
Adams

🤔 Do you really trust giving the Mayor unilateral control over land-use decisions?

Checks and balances exist for a reason.

Once it’s in the Charter, it’s there for good.

This chart from
@mtopp4bk.bsky.social 's video shows what would happen if Ballot Questions 2–4 pass.

There’s no guarantee of more “affordable” housing — let alone deeply affordable homes that Council Members can negotiate for, which we need to address NYC’s #affordabilitycrisis.

This progress is only possible because the Council has a direct role in land use, using that power to center residents' voices, demand affordability, and secure major investments. The Mayor’s ballot proposals 2-4 would strip that power. Learn more about what’s at stake at whatsonmyballot.nyc

This support for communities and equity is at risk from Mayor Adams’ misleading Ballot Proposals 2-4, which would undermine the power to deliver more affordability in housing, health, and neighborhood investments.
