As New Orleans braces for the arrival of ICE, there is a particular stain that comes with hunting Mexicans and Central Americans in that city. These are the same folks who arrived en masse to help rebuild the city after Katrina and have since become a vibrant part of its renewal.

I just experienced firsthand a private equity firm taking a 100-year-old family-owned printing business, and ran it into the ground in 2 years. 60 employees had to find new jobs or retire early in one of the worst job markets the US has had in years. The guillotine is better suited than mere prison.
