I’m actually blocking all the men who weirdly want to argue with me about ai not being categorically junk because I’m on the record about the meaningful distinctions and have demonstrated I know the difference between marketing and scientific processes that use what we now (blithely) call AI

Absolutely this. I was recommended by some students to teach other teachers about "storytelling" and it took me a minute to figure out they meant "shouting and cracking jokes and pantomiming while using the laser pointer on graphs"
AI simply cannot stand in front of a classroom, gesticulating wildly and writing semi-illegibly on chalkboards, both of which are key to building rapport and convincing your students you are worth learning from
If people think AI can replace historians and political scientists, I have a bridge on the Thames to sell you.
