1975: Harlan Ellison visits Michael Moorcock in London. The Englishman sits Ellison in front of the TV when Dr Who comes on & insists Ellison “be quiet & just watch”. By the late 1970s,Ellison is such a fan of Dr Who that he’s taunting US scifi fans with declarations of its superiority over US fare.

Looked at myself side on in a mirror recently (don’t recommend it) and realised that I have such a sever pelvic tilt it probably accounts for at least half of the 2” inches in height I’ve lost since I was 23

I can well imagine, he’s an avatar of rage for every slight that a lot of people have felt from people who they think “think they’re better than me”. This is the end point of “to own the libs” so I guess to them it’s really *not* about him and more that he’s owning the libs incarnate

Thankfully our electricity company fucked up the peaceful transfer of services from our old supplier to them, and so they had to give us £80 and an apology. So I won’t be taking part in the practice of bragging that “I’ve not put the heating on yet” this year.

This all seems so alien, it blows my mind. The closest I think we have is a furniture shop in North Manchester who has a little billboard outside with his picture and it says “Make your furniture great again” and I don’t think anyone’s sure if they’re being sarcastic or not

I chew the skin around my nails but never my nails. I’ve always felt like it’s not as bad as chewing your nails. But I’ve just realised it’s because I have shit teeth and I don’t trust that my teeth are harder than my nails.

So I ended up with like 10-15 people watching me use the self service machine which then set off the age check thing, and the guy on the main till had seen me the night before and did the line from my set “got any ID love?” and it was like this

I do a bit about using a self service machine getting asked for ID in a little shop, it’s a bit that kills, anyway after last nights show I popped into the Tesco next door for road snacks and energy drinks and a bunch of the people who saw my show were in and talked to me
