See also the decline of say the video game market with Xbox declining because Sony and Microsoft don't compete anymore. A reason the 7th generation was as good as it was was because Microsoft badly wanted to compete with Sony for supremacy.

Competition is needed for a reason.

You can opt out of AI overviews for Google search at least. In 2024 Google added a Web tab, and if you make it the default search engine in your browser, no more AI overviews. Everyone who still uses Google needs to do this, help conserve water and electricity.

If 10% of the country's workforce is still making less than $15 per hour, when Fight for $15 began nearly 14 years ago, that's really bad. That's a sign that the market is NOT working, at all.

I may fail to make more than $18,000 after taxes this year if this continues... My most recent paycheck. Also yes, there are people STILL making under $15 per hour. I get extremely annoyed with people who are like "the market is working, wages are great".

Have I time traveled back to my senior year of high school? I haven't seen hours this low since I was 18, 13 years ago, and was working 2-3 days a week only on the weekends.

I didn't regularly get weekday hours on school days until 2018, but it was very rarely this bad...

Like Aniplex-owned Madman Anime Group was consistently releasing Boruto in Australia, then after the rebrand as Crunchyroll Store Australia in 2022, things went really off track for that legacy Madman license. Management change is likely the main cause for that.

A good amount of management has changed though. FUNimation owned by Sony competing against Crunchyroll is different than Crunchyroll, LLC (FUNimation's new name) owned by Sony with no real competitor.

Note also what happened to Madman Anime Group and Manga Entertainment UK in 2022.
