The EU's total imports of Russian energy since 2022 have exceeded €213B. "That dwarfs the amount the EU has spent on aid to Ukraine in the same period," says Reuters, reporting that 7 of the EU's 27 members (🇫🇷!🇳🇱🇧🇪🇭🇷🇷🇴🇵🇹🇭🇺) actually increased the value of their Russian imports in 2025. Oops.

Moreso than ticket splitting, the risk is that some voters just leave the AG race blank. I'm concerned that Jones is cancelling appearances, Spanberger is holding him at arms length, and no Dem surrogates are pushing back against Rep. hypocrisy over violent speech.

While I appreciate Trump losing the Peace Prize as much as the next guy, everything is not just about us. There's a bunch of authoritarians in the world right now whose opponents might be heartened by this choice.

On this day in 1872, a three-person arbitration commission awarded the San Juan Islands off the coast of British Columbia to the United States by setting the marine boundary through the Haro Strait. This resolved the "Pig War" that began in 1859.
