This is like being at war, except our institutional infrastructure is being destroyed instead of physical infrastructure.

Similar result though - lives lost, people broken, and even when it's over, decades or more to rebuild.

Conducting a live fire exercise over a civilian highway is fucking stupid.

It doesn’t really matter if I-5 fell within the minimum acceptable risk threshold for the exercise. Those standards are designed for controlled environments, not civilian highways.

Agreed. I can not see any cleverness or intelligence within Trump. He is breathtakingly stupid, and woefully (and willfully) ignorant about how pretty much EVERYTHING works. He is perhaps the very poster child for full-spectrum Dunning-Kruger effect.

As for Musk, I feel this summarizes him well:
