Some news: Former WNBA player and current Celtics G League GM and Connecticut Sun TV analyst Ashley Battle is joining the Portland Fire as VP of Basketball Operations, Strategy and Innovation, working under GM Vanja Černivec.

BREAKING: RAJ Sports and the Cherng family have reached a resolution out of court for the lawsuit over the Cherngs’ involvement in Tom Dundon’s group that is buying the Blazers. The lawsuit has been withdrawn.

FINAL: Mariners 3, Blue Jays 1

After giving up a home run on the first pitch he threw, Bryce Miller and three relievers gave up one hit the rest of the game to steal a road win in Game 1 of the ALCS. Cal Raleigh homered, Jorge Polanco drove in two and Seattle got a huge win.
