Weird football freak? Iowa State fan, so yes.

Words at ??? these days.
Gonna do what I said I was going to do and close the deck for the night. Might start an Andor rewatch and feel something. Love to you all.

Pizza Luce I would never have guessed. Incredible.
Genuinely cannot believe how many places are on this list. New ones every time I check.

American Swedish Institute and all Pizza Luce locations just joined the list. A stunning show of solidarity.
Here's a list of MN businesses closed on Friday. It's long and keeps growing.

There is going to come a time in your life when you are chatting with a guy, at a barbecue or something, a new coworker maybe, a dad at school drop off, and he tells you he used to be in ICE. You’re going to need to spit on that guy
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

Hey @klobuchar.senate.gov @smith.senate.gov come have a ride along with me in my neighborhood next week. I’ve got a great minivan that will comfortably fit you and whatever staffers or security you want.
@amyklobuchar.com Glad you were able to enjoy youth hockey and smile while taking photos. This is reality in my neighborhood, it's time to fucking step up Senator.

Federal agents abduct two teenagers (15 & 16) from a doctor's appointment

At one point, it appears an agent tases one of the children

Respectfully, look at this fucking bullshit that we’re dealing with, not a single person here has “taken the bait.” We have born witness as little kids are used as bait and neighbors are kidnapped on our streets. A mad dipshit is going to invoke the Insurrection Act regardless and you are blaming us
Violence only helps Trump & may provide him an excuse to further trample our rights by invoking the Insurrection Act.

if you don’t think you can campaign on abolishing this agency and prosecuting the people involved - if you don’t think you’re able to make that case using this video and other like it - get the fuck out of politics

Ben Luhmann, who filmed this, is one of the two high schoolers from a conservative Christian family I rode along with in Chicago when they were searching for ICE agents there.

When I asked him how his faith informed his efforts to document ICE/DHS, he told me this. religionnews.com/2025/11/25/h...

Deleted my comment on the Jung Hoo Lee situation because it seems like the kind of thing that happens not infrequently to foreign born baseball players around this time of year and not an overreach by CBP. Visa stuff does happen around spring training.

Just got home and gave my son the biggest hug. He doesn't know why and won't understand for a few years, but the rage I feel that there are parents that can't do that tonight because ICE stole their child and took them away is going to burn for the rest of my fucking life.

Hey @sarahforiowa.bsky.social I'd like to know your position here, out loud and in capital letters. I know Nunn won't do me any good so I'm gonna need someone to believe in.
Call your reps. Let them know that if they vote for ICE funding, you will not vote for them ever again.

Representatives need to feel the heat. NO on ICE funding. No excuses.
So the House is going to vote TOMORROW on the DHS funding bill that includes funding for ICE.

There's a real chance we can get Dems to vote NO on any bill with ICE funding to sink it.

Once it goes to the Senate we likely lose this chance.

24 hours. Go.

This picture broke me, but the description of this kidnapping by a witness who says ICE referred to this precious child as “it” as they took him away fills me with an unspeakable, murderous rage.
Sharing this report of ICE depravity from Facebook at the request of community member. This is from a suburb north of ICE-occupied Minneapolis.

My take on the Jan 23 action in Minneapolis is that I don’t really care whether it’s a “true” general strike (we could argue about that all day).

What DOES matter is that it’s a bold and necessary escalation, and local labor leaders are publicly encouraging workers to join in anti-ICE resistance

I would argue that the case for dismantling ICE has, at this point, virtually nothing to do with larger questions of immigration enforcement and reform, it's just clearly incompatible with a free and democratic society to maintain a secret police force with sweeping and arbitrary authority.
Senator Gallego weighs in as well. Note that at the start of 2025 he was considered a *moderate* on immigration and co-sponsored the Laken Riley Act. Him and many other Dems have been increasingly horrified at what ICE is doing and shifted away from a "more enforcement" focus.

They are targeting children because they are trying incite violence. I have talked to many journalists today, and they all made the same observation: Border Patrol and ICE have been rolling around with maximum aggression, lingering for ages as crowds, gather, seemingly trying to cause a riot.
