At least four people were detained Monday afternoon during an ICE operation near Karmel Mall, a Somali shopping center in Minneapolis, according to multiple witnesses at the scene.

Hennepin County dispatch got a panicked call from a Department of Homeland Security supervisor in Minneapolis requesting assistance because “we only have a few officers but we have 60-70 agitators fighting them.” Hennepin deputies didn’t witness any attacks on agents.

The pair of agents restrained a woman on the ground as a crowd gathered near Pillsbury and Lake Street. Videos show them dragging her on the road towards their vehicle as protesters hurled insults and snowballs. The agents eventually left her in the street as they hurried to their vehicle.

There are states that criminalize possession of controlled substances when it’s located in your blood stream 🫣 that means in some states they’d weigh your outside drugs and your inside drugs too, it’s bananas

Deputy M. also saw Tanna “chewing” with “stuff falling out that was white” that the deputy believed was methamphetamine. Tanna was taken to the ground but continued resisting and “start[ed] spitting.” At some point during the struggle, the small plastic bag came out of Tanna’s mouth.
