Yes yes yes to this. Our neighbors deserve to be safe from kidnapping and brutality because they are people and all people are precious, not because of specific "value" they add to community as defined by white people.
Thinking a lot about Perfect Victims and the rush to affirm the Somali communities of Minnesota as worthy by virtue of hard work etc (mostly hard work.) I understand it but as always, leaving room for criminalization is the way we got here in the first place.

95% of MN Somalis are US citizens. 58% were born in the US. The only reason to target this community with immigration agents is for the sake of racial profiling and harassment - which the US supreme court says is legal now.
