apparently there's "discourse" about Hasan Piker supposedly "abusing" his (obviously extremely spoiled) dog and boy, people will just see anything they want to, huh.

The cops only reacted to Bimpong's condition when a nurse tried to administer narcan and the narcan didn't work. By then, it was far too late.

A 50yo black man was having a stroke, and police officers in Eagan - including ones who are *specially trained* to spot strokes - threw him in a jail cell for hours. He suffered a massive brain bleed, causing his brain to *squeeze out through the bottom of his skull*.

And of course, this week, of all weeks, my paycheck is somehow late and didn't show up on Thursday morning when it usually does, which means my rent payment that went out today has put me in the hole by $300. Jesus christ. They're looking into it but in the meantime, i'm gonna get hit with fees!

unmedicated adhd = i write every single paper in college the night before they were due. with 3 exceptions, they were all A's

and then i got permanent burnout. but that's about the unmedicated part, not the writing brilliant essays in 5 hours part.

i wrote a 20 page paper that was essentially my capstone for my entire degree in college on one saturday by locking myself in a study room with some chips and a few coca colas. Wrote the whole thing in 8 hours and turned it in essentially unchanged. Got an A.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.

Hi Dex,

I appreciate that you reached out about this subject. I have seen your advocacy and appreciate your voice in elevating awareness of the trans experience and advocating for ways we can all better support our trans neighbors.

My top priority is ensuring that Ward 10 is a safe place for LGBTQIA+ community members. This area of Minneapolis has been central to the queer community for decades, and it’s critically important that we maintain that presence and vibrancy. We can do this by ensuring safe streets where we feel comfortable walking day or night, supporting thriving business corridors, and embracing an active and engaged art community (something that used to be part of the everyday fabric of life in Ward 10).

Personally, I have family members and close friends who are transgender and know firsthand the struggles they endure and how important it is for us to listen to lived experiences and do the work necessary to ensure our community is always welcoming and affirming of their journey. The threats of violence they face are real, and now more than ever in this environment, with the rhetoric coming from Washington, we need to embrace and hold our trans neighbors close.

One thing I believe strongly in is that our leaders need to serve as conduits for the communities we serve and not assume we have the answers or always know exactly what different communities need. As someone who is an advocate within the trans community, I hope we will have conversations in the years ahead on how we can best tackle city policies and votes around the LGBTQIA+ community. I have many friends that I look to in this arena and there is always room at the table for more voices.

anyway i found parking and then realized i completely forgot to pick up cat food and that happened at 10:05 which meant the uptown cub was closed and so i ended up at speedway buying their last three cans
