“The team also found that displacement increased a homeless person’s likelihood of dying prematurely… as much as a 25% increase over 10 years.”

“We know more housing is what’s going to solve this problem,” Radu said. “That is the root-cause intervention.”

Instead of standing up for immigrants who were impacted by ICE this week, @repangiecraig.bsky.social is supporting performative resolutions meant to divide the Democratic Party event further.

We haven’t forgotten your vote to strip due process away from immigrants. It’s the America you asked for.

All Trump wants is to make us think some people don’t have the same humanity as others. The Frey campaign and All of MPLS spent millions of dollars spreading Islamophobia for the last year doing Trump’s dirty work for him and set this up perfectly. They should be ashamed but I’m sure they don’t care
I am a citizen and so are majority of Somalis in America. Good luck celebrating a policy change that really doesn’t have much impact on the Somalis you love to hate. We are here to stay 💁🏽‍♀️

For what it's worth, people within the City have proposed a rent registry, requiring landlords to report the rents for every unit annually. The industry has fought that proposal tooth and nail. They know. If the data was actually good for them, they'd want to sound it to the heavens.

Does anyone know any millionaires who want to make a large tax-deductible donation before the end of the year? I’d like to be able to give our 40 folding wagons a week. This would save lives and give unhoused people a way to pack up their tents quick when the city tells them to move.

The city of Minnetonka used their opioid settlements to buy a fume hood.
"The opioid settlement was pretty clear: It's to help people that have been affected."

"Three [Minnesota counties] spent money on K-9 units, and at least two counties used the funds to pay the salaries of agents investigating drug-related crimes."

Community members on the ground can't do it all. We need help.
The feds are escalating in Los Angeles. We've seen record high kidnappings and our communities are under attack. The media focus on LA has died down so electeds don't feel the need to even feign opposition.

People are out here fighting. We need all of us. Join the struggle. Defend your neighbors.

ICE has been raiding my neighborhood and surrounding ones for the last couple of weeks now. They commandeered my local church (against the pastor's will) for a staging site and raided supermarkets, parks, Goodwills, bus stops, you name it.

The national media's been silent. So has @mayor.lacity.gov.
