I have documented evidence of this but I don’t care to share it because I also do not think increasing police presence in Black and indigenous neighborhoods would make any difference.

There is not a single conservative city council candidate who could convince MPD to care about Black and indigenous kids. So all of these candidates with big promises about getting MPD back into the community and regular patrols are just talking out of their bottoms. They can’t make MPD care.

Following three weeks of legal proceedings and over five hours in court, the judge found Wayzata-based Minneapolis landlord John Wall in violation of the law on three counts, resulting in a $1,450 fine.

another star tribune failure in not mentioning that john wall doesn't even live in minneapolis. it's clear they only read the decision, they didn't request hearing audio to listen, and we know they didn't send anyone to cover it, i was the only one there!

Public works is massive! The quintessential government function is streets! The idea that the city council wouldn't get a confirmation vote for public works director is nuts. These charter commissioners have lost their minds.

I don’t know what other cities look like, but I think that the commissioner of health role is one I want the Council to vote on. Probably others as well, but there are real implications to the way that position approaches public health that directly affects residents.

It’s hard to overstate how incredible @jchavezmpls.bsky.social was at the Ward 9 forum on Monday night. Besides being a gifted public speaker, he demonstrated over and over that he views unhoused people and people who use drugs as fully human and fully worthy of housing and health and life.

Mayor Frey is all veto and no vision. Minneapolis deserves a leader that will listen to the expertise of our community members, and fight against gentrification in our cultural corridors. As Mayor, I will increase transparency to make our city affordable and accountable to us.
