We are grateful for everyone who has answered a call, shared a tip, joined neighbors to whistle or honk at ICE agents to warn community.
Across the Twin Cities residents are volunteering to make ICE’s job in Minnesota as difficult as possible. ICE watchers say the ultimate goal is to prevent ICE agents from arresting, jailing and deporting their neighbors.

"MPRB will fully adhere to and follow Mayor Frey’s Executive Order 2025-02 dealing with Immigration and Customer Enforcement (ICE) presence in our city and prohibit any MPRB parking lot from being used to stage civil immigration enforcement operations."

I've had a lot of people reach out about the presence of ICE on park board property. Unfortunately, they are legally allowed to be on our land because it is completely public. This is a gross abuse of the sanctity of our parks and can't be tolerated.
We will do all we can to keep these spaces safe.

We encountered an ICE immigration enforcement action on Park Ave. in Minneapolis today. When my colleague Ben Hovland and I arrived there were only a couple observers, but there were dozens blowing whistles by the time ICE agents left without making an arrest.

Twin Cities- it’s been another day with extreme ICE activity in our neighborhoods.
Despite the best efforts of rapid response teams, we sometimes got there too late to prevent kidnappings.
And we had some successes- multiple kidnapping attempts were prevented by the organizing of neighbors.
