So by reinforcing my point.. what do you hope to accomplish?
Your point being what exactly?

They don't engender them, but they do allow an electorate to try to shape them.
The only way a planet without borders could ever work would be if everyone on the planet could agree on a universal set of values, ethics, and economic system. Seeing how people in a given city can't even seem to agree on that, the odds are zero of it happening in our lifetime.
Also, allow a commandline-friendly OAuth process.
I agree with you RE the principal ; HOWEVER the problem comes because the public - and more importantly the media - treat preprints as gospel, even thought they have had no rigorous peer-review. The proliferation of fake news based on arXiv preprints is already highly problematic and getting worse.
Which do they use, Concur or Expensify?

It’s great to be paid for protesting and everything but let me tell you the whole antifa reimbursement process is just terrible
The GMail widget on Android is abhorrent - tons of wasted white space, lack of configuration, other issues - and hasn't been updated in many many years. Frustrating.
Also... I am saying this as someone who didnt vote for him. I give credit where it is due, he is doing as good a job as anyone could expect given the mess left to him both by the previous clown car in charge as well as the other clown south of the border.
I disagree with @bhaggart.bsky.social . Carney has been making a ton of large changes enhancing sovereignty, from striking up new trade relationships, to building out a soverign Canadian cloud, to nation building projects. This stuff takes time you can't change a whole country in six months
Xennials are honestly the best because we have had it all. Analog childhood and digital adolescence. We are the last bridge to the analog world, the last group who all remember what it was like to use a rotary phone or make a mix tape while also knowing how to burn a CD and promot AI.
Something has changed in GMail. Almost every email I received the past week has gone to spam.

Be aware, check your spam bucket for important emails.

We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

It should be the other way around, make DST permanent.

Please be aware of cybersecurity. Thank you.
The absolute best way to watch Peacemaker is live when it drops, and have Threads open and following the 'Peacemaker' thread.
"We're destroying words—scores of them, hundreds of them, every day... the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought. In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it"

Energy Dept. adds ‘climate change’ and ‘emissions’ to banned words list
It is the latest in a series of Trump administration efforts to dispute, silence or downplay climate change.

Shot in the dark - does anyone know what IP reputation service Comcast / XFinity Xfi uses for their "Safebrowse" service? I know it is outsourced to a third party provider, but I can not figure out from my research exactly what provider. I just need to figure out who exactly to report this issue to
Please read the thread, and the information surrounding this issue.

The main problems are due to supply chain costs (not controllable by the city) and real estate (rents being jacked up by the grocers landlord). The second one is ENTIRELY controllable by the city. They just fail to do so
Canadian fun:

Try to get an AI to draw any picture showing someone pouring milk from a bag.
Hot take: ETFs are the root problem causing CEO to worker pay disparity.

Pick any random Fortune 5000 company and 60%+ of the shares are going to be institutionally held. Individual shareholders have zero voice. We've collectively given it up to Blackrock and Vanguard in exchange for easy returns.
My only question is, why wasn't this tied to dropping the lawsuit. What is the status of that?
