Backfiring in terms of public sentiment, yes, but if he can keep it shut down long enough to complete the gop's gerrymandering goals, then it will have worked, providing 2 pathways to total govt control:
*an ongoing gop majority, or/&
*ICE etc. provoking protest aggression (Insurrectionist Act)

Yes, that IS the point of these results IMO - that candidate knowledge impacts voter choice. Thus using these results to promote a candidate 'awareness campaign' would constitute an authentic use of them, and I hope this does take place. 👍

Yes, I know (and I hope Platner wins myself), but your extrapolation of these poll results does NOT translate into actual voting behaviors UNLESS you can assume sufficient voter knowledge of a similar nature. About wishful thinking, not deep knowledge.
