Yes, that IS the point of these results IMO - that candidate knowledge impacts voter choice. Thus using these results to promote a candidate 'awareness campaign' would constitute an authentic use of them, and I hope this does take place. 👍

Yes, I know (and I hope Platner wins myself), but your extrapolation of these poll results does NOT translate into actual voting behaviors UNLESS you can assume sufficient voter knowledge of a similar nature. About wishful thinking, not deep knowledge.

Sry, but this only shows that voters who are well informed about each candidate can change their mind, on the basis of that information. You would have to assume that Maine voters in general will be similarly informed for this to be the case for Platner on the day. 'Realistic' support is important.
