In the last week, Donald Trump has insisted that there are no more stores left in war-ravaged Portland, asserted that Joe Biden was president during the January 6th insurrection, hosted conspiracy theorists for an "Antifa" summit, and said he'd consider pardoning his good friend the sex trafficker.

The “No Kings” protests, now a national movement, aim to surpass previous records with over 2,400 events nationwide. Millions have already joined peaceful demonstrations to defend democracy, sending a clear message: in America, there are no kings—only empowered people.

Right. I wondered the same thing. It seems impossible that the facility itself is maxed out.

This one hits deep. The decision to wipe out the special education office isn’t just another bureaucratic “cut” it’s a betrayal of children who already fight every day to be seen, heard, and supported.

4. My mom had several nurses👨🏽‍⚕️👩🏼‍⚕️🧑🏻‍⚕️ and caregivers who are men, and they did such a great job that I truly hope men today who choose nursing as a career don’t face stigma for doing what was once viewed as a “woman’s job.” 🏥🚒🚑⚕️

3. The staff is very committed and hardworking but it appears they are understaffed, so they’re running from patient to patient and crisis to crisis. This could be due to an unexpected influx of patients 🤷‍♀️

2. We spent 12+ hours in the ER — all night — because there was no bed available in the hospital. How often are ALL the beds in a hospital this size filled? The ER waiting room was packed when we arrived 11 p.m. My mom was so sick she came by ambulance.

My mom went into sepsis due to a raging infection earlier in the week, so we’ve spent the past several days @ Boise’s St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center as she recovers. I have a few observations:

1. We have found the staff incredibly patient, caring and hardworking 👏🙏😍
