#UnconfinedWalks around the cathedral grounds. Quiche a few flowers still out - also #BonusBee
The chutney is very much for the husband… and I don’t know what the cheeses are yet, I’ll find out during the tasting.
The theme is Alpine cheeses. I am very much looking forward to these.
I would be tempted to see it again, if the Southbank wasn’t such a schlep.
No cocktail, in anticipation of a cheese and wine tasting in a bit - so here is a photo of the cheese instead. We’ve been out two evenings this week (to excellent things both times), which is the most we’ve done in some time! #ConfinedCocktails
Finished this the other day. Enjoyed painting all the blues, very soothing.
Just back from a very interesting talk by Andrew Graham-Dixon on his new interpretation of Vermeer, which I like. Now drinking this Negrino (Sloe gin, fino sherry, gentian liqueur) which I also like.
This was brilliant! With a full orchestra, very rare in regional touring these days.
Any recommendations so far? I have a bottle of Italian rose from that range but I haven’t got around to trying it yet.
The one I’ve got (Giffard banane du Brasil) is really nice and not artificial tasting - don’t know about others.
Here is this afternoon’s Sour Cherry Negroni - I have just finished a tiny Anomaly (Mezcal, sherry, banana liqueur) but completely forgot to take a photo of it… #ConfinedCocktails
A Pinky Negroni to start the weekend. Was trying to match the nails to the roses - not a bad attempt but not quite!
Saw this last night and really enjoyed it, even as a non football fan. Very clever storytelling and staging.

I spent years writing mine on freelance payment claims, so I know mine off by heart as well. It’s surprisingly useful to know.
Another week, another attempt to get Canterbury council to tell me how long my road will be closed for…
In seasonal change news, the opaque tights have been deployed…
I will remember that come Christmas!
