A lot of the people you see arguing against food assistance are actually on food assistance. They work at Walmart or a convenience store and think they are deserving, but others are not.

This is projection and the way that the 1% keep poor people pitted against poor people so they don’t look up.
Crazy that he actually looks like one of the defendants in the Nuremberg photos.

If you were not alive in the 90's, you don't realize that no one back then drank water. The idea of hydration didn't exist yet, if you were thirsty there was soda or some kind of very bright blue sugar water and that was it

Every kid was extremely dehydrated and close to organ failure at all times
Beer-gutted, bald, middle-aged white men wearing incredibly tatty templar costumes seem to have been omitted from this list of heroes.

Feels like censorship.

The Bush/Cheney years were dark. Their corruption and criminal lack of accountability for oil wars in the Middle East, not to mention failing to stop 9/11 despite warnings, were as destructive as Trump. But the difference is they committed atrocities without the nouveu riche reality TV show antics

So many people were detained extrajudicially, were tortured, or died because of Dick Cheney. You can't get to the danger we're in now without everything he did. The weapons he helped forge are ones we need to take away from U.S. presidents forever.

My wealth has increased by 25% since June. I have done absolutely nothing to earn this. I just put it in a tracker fund. I will be taxed on that gain at a lower rate than during the Thatcher government.
I’d pay more tax to make this country better and stop Putin in his tracks.
The damage he and his fellow travellers have inflicted on the world, is vast. We can all choose what kind of people we want to be and if we choose not to be like Dick Cheney, that's a good thing.

This speech from Rachel Reeves is kind of frustrating because it shows that the Government can command the airwaves when it wants

That's something it has almost totally failed to do so far - over challenging racism, boosting the laws it has passed, tackling Reform, rebutting Tory ILR plans, etc etc
While Putin is alive, it gets blamed on his underlings.

When Putin dies, it will be blamed on Putin.

72% do not feel that they can influence decisions affecting the UK.

Why? Because our political and economic institutions have been captured by the wealthy.

And our democracy is failing as a result.

The UK's Failing Democracy
The Carnegie Foundation's Life in the UK report shows the weakness of UK democracy, and the suffering caused as a result .
