9/10, cat should be a chicken.
Great ideas and great execution! Also, TIL what a kist is, so thanks for that too!
"Maybe make us some sandwiches while you're at it, there's a good girl." UGH.
More of @spazzster.bsky.social 's "An Elegy in Crimson" podcast, which is basically @timhutchings.bsky.social 's Thousand-Year-Old Vampire played out in the form of an interview. But this one has me in it! krademachir.podbean.com/e/an-elegy-i...

Just started act 4…having a blast!
This is a fascinating interview about a wonderful game. It's deep, and some might find it a little full of itself, but I'm so glad that a game that can generate this kind of discussion exists. Go play Slay the Princess, if you haven't.
It's an older era of horror, but Fury of Dracula remains one of my favorites. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/18...

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

10 YEAR OLD ME IS LOSING HER MIND (a thread 🧵)
Horse breeding? Is horse semen a resource in the game, or is that still exclusive to Grade Up to Elite Cow?
IIRC Wildsea was produced in landscape format, seemed to work out fine.
Taking Firefly as read, mine would be Sports Night and the way-ahead-of-its-time Profit.
Wait a minute - this is NEXT weekend! (I can read dates, I swear.) Never mind - I'm in!
Thanks! It's our first return in the post-COVID era, so we're really looking forward to it.
This sounds great! If I wasn't helping to run a real-world puzzle hunt tomorrow (playDASH.org), I would be all over this in real time; hopefully I can avoid hints and spoilers to solve it after the fact!
Did anyone die during character creation?
Flashing back to "Shifty Checkers" (an actual, if terrible, published game), as referenced in @amabel.bsky.social 's great recent video on the rise and fall of the Aurora company). youtu.be/TH3QT05C25w...
I always liked "Jigsaw Incomplete" from GURPS Cyberpunk Adventures. Never ran it in GURPS, but had a good time when I converted it to Shadowrun.

For my money, a set of TTRPG rules is like a Lego set. I like having the instructions for the "intended" design, and I'll probably build it that way the first time, but after that I'm gonna build what I want - maybe even combine pieces from different sets!
