Come to my town. It is full of doodles owned by people who have never before owned a dog*, know nothing about dogs and haven't trained their dogs. You will feel like a pet whisperer.

*obviously lots of first time pet owners are responsible. Here it's more like acquiring the trappings of success.

Some 12 year olds popped by to say hi to my 12 year old and it was like being assaulted by the perfume spritzers of yore back at the old cosmetics counters in a department store.

There was also more deployment of the language of sailors than I think is ok in front of not other teens.

Spooky Season Reminder: Most "Halloween Black" food dye uses charcoal. Normally, it's safe to eat!

However:

Charcoal can NEUTRALIZE many types of medications!

If you're taking your meds (good for you!), make sure you consult your pharmacist to see if they might get neutralized!

I feel like Tazo flavors are usually awful. A woman I knew used to make me Tazo tea with microwaved water & I blamed the microwave but then separately had Tazo and was like "oh no, it's the tea".

Mills, running against Graham Platner in the Maine Democratic Senate primary, would become the oldest freshman (79) ever elected, to a 6-year term.
