Vance's stance is, almost literally, "Well, she shouldn't have mouthed off like that. She asked for it."
When Vance insists, contra the videos, that Good threatened the ICE agent and "had it coming", what he means is that he, like Ross, feels threatened by any woman who has the audacity to use her voice in the public sphere.

There is also no justification for shooting someone who is evading arrest, especially if the crime is for something as minor as allegedly blocking traffic during a protest
The only justification for shooting her would be to neutralize an imminent risk of death or severe bodily injury. There was no point at which Good threatened anyone's life or limb. She didn't want to hit anyone which is why she was sharply turning her wheel as she drove slowly away.

What’s missing from the discussion about the video is that the movement of the camera suggests that the ICE agent steps into the path of the car as Good makes a three-point turn. The car doesn’t aim at him, he walked into it.

My anger at having to stand outside my kid’s school for two hours to ensure none of their classmates, parents, or teachers get kidnapped by my own government is only slightly tempered by the amazing outpouring of support from other parents and especially neighbors who stand against this bullshit.

Again, there are plenty of people who are going to believe this justification, but there are more people who know when the admin is doubling down on a mistake instead of copping to it.

Note: This move not only cuts out state access, but it undermines one of the most concrete changes that came out of George Floyd's killing here in Minneapolis in 2020, which is the BCA Force Investigations Unit, created to restore trust in investigations when law enforcement kills civilians.
