Republicans think denying food to poor people is a smart strategy because Democrats care more about the poor than Republicans do. Consider what that says about Republicans.

I am kind of surprised at how much Vance just says the extremely racist quiet parts loud.

Help Tyler sue these freaks
On Thursday (10/23), as I was walking back to the office with my lunch I stopped to heckle a crowd of National Guard and federal agents. I was then tackled to the ground, slammed against a squad car, arrested and held in a cell for several hours.

So masked ICE thugs are essential and being paid during the shutdown. But air traffic controllers are not.
This cowardly little shit weasel … the rage I feel when I hear MJ talk 🤬🤬

Note: This is me — I asked this question.

You’ll hear me say “yes you have” here — because Johnson was already *directly asked* about one of these instances (when the Presbyterian minister was shot in the head with a pepper ball) in one of earlier shutdown press conferences.
Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos

“Why has virtually every country in the world seen an abrupt rise in extremist politics, especially on the far-right, starting at approximately the same date the iPhone was released”

The most important question in politics but maybe not a hard one

The FBI director is flying his girlfriend around on private government planes while FBI agents go without paychecks and families prepare to go hungry as SNAP benefits are being suspended
Patel's girlfriend performed at Penn State last weekend. A government jet arrived at State College Regional Airport, according to its FAA registration, with an address listing the FBI HQ. The plane then flew to Nashville, where his girlfriend lives.

All on the taxpayer’s dime.

Yes and I’m confused what data they are using. Are they saying they have a photographic database of every US citizen or everyone who is here illegally or what?
She is absolutely right, that’s the point. To terrorize so we are all afraid. We can’t be afraid, we have to speak out, even if it’s just to point out the cruelty.
I guess that's the point. Terrorize so brazenly that everyone is afraid. This woman. Her terror was real. Her desperation. Her sorrow. She was being ripped from her family. Forced away. And we all stood there. I did nothing but film it and shout. And shake and cry.

Now I'm about to get on a flight and I'm sitting here in my helplessness not sure what to do. It feels farcical to pretend that everything is normal. Hug each other please. Choose love.

I had to sit down. I couldn't stop shaking and crying. Other women came up to me after and asked to hug me. I think they felt traumatized too. The abuse and horror these men inflicted on that woman extended to everyone watching it. Ostentatious shows of power to make everyone feel disempowered.

I can hear myself saying "Have mercy! She's a human being!" I was scarcely aware that I was speaking. After they dragged her away, I shouted into the airport something like, "This is cruelty! How can we stand this?" Whatever I said, it tore out of me. And I was immediately afraid I'd be arrested too

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

This is the reason why we need to get vaccinated so we don't get numerous viral infections and re-infections and end up with heart disease and/or stroke.

Seriously, there are vaccines for flu, COVID-19 and shingles. A few jabs will do your body good.
A number of viral infections, including flu, Covid-19 and shingles, are linked to an increased risk of heart disease and stroke, a new study affirmed.
