Good read. My ex Christian nationalist Al Anon sponsor used to manage to hit many of these tropes in very casual ways.
I think it’s time to put this one back out into the ether, friends

Come and learn about how the tropes undergirding anti-Jewish hatred and conspiracy theories as they exist today came to be…

Enjoy at your dinner today as your uncle or cousin drops those euphemisms.

I did always wonder about Mr. Burns from The Simpsons. He has a very hook-nosed appearance but his ethnic background is very upper crust.

I don't think people appreciate just how racist Underdog! was. Not only was one of the primary villains Simon Bar Sinister, but the hero's love interest was an albino-white femme named "Polly Purebred."

With DC shooter now identified as an Afghan national not the antifa secret agent White House hoped for a good time to remember the Trump admin has gutted domestic anti-terrorism capacity and reassigned many to finding grandmothers to arrest at immigration hearings.

Michael W. Twitty's cookbook celebrates the South’s complicated heritage : NPR share.google/oxz299PgIBA7...
A celebration of the South's rich — and messy — heritage, delivered on a plate
In a new cookbook, culinary historian Michael W. Twitty pays homage to the rich tapestry of cultures that have shaped Southern cuisine — and keeps a gimlet eye on the region's complicated history.

“Santa is secular”

Santa:
Saint Nick was based on Nicholas, bishop of Bari, an early Christian saint who gave gifts to people in secret, usually as a way to have done a good deed. The name Santa clause is a bastardization of Sinterklaas, a Germanic form of Saint Nick. It’s very Christian.

There is only one instance when racists understand that an entire group of people can't be blamed for the violent actions of 1 person...and that is when the perpetrator is a white man.

In all other instances, logic need not apply.

I've heard the Catholic Church has a nun and priest shortage. Do they have any idea how fast they'd have to be Ivy League selective for those if they accepted trans people as the gender we are? Also, every Mass would be packed with currently lapsed Catholic trans people coming back.
