On the other side of the pond families are being torn asunder through the North London derby; Arsenal v Spurs. This is a day for familial collapse.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

Cain and Abel. Brother against brother. Against sister against father against mother. Families viciously divided.

Yes it is time for Vikings vs Packers.

I’m leaving my dumb typo up because people are having fun with it. So please make good jokes, not bad ones. For Chris’s sake.

Our two dogs have many many nicknames in rotation but the current most used are Feral Menace and The Saddest Man.

One thing I genuinely enjoyed in this otherwise very dumb movie is that Richard Kiel (Eegah, “Jaws” in James Bond, etc) actually had some time playing a nice, normal, even sweet guy. And he did a fine job!

But… then the movie’s villain turns him into a rampaging death machine. Oh well.
Eegah! in Space!!
It's a Star Wars ripoff starring Richard Kiel... WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR? The Humanoid is now on RiffTrax!

Bring back Superman’s weird round head
Superman—then all of two years old—made his first appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade 85 years ago, on November 21, 1940. Here's day-after coverage in the New York Times.

In awe as ever of my friend and grad school classmate Lynn Nottage for meeting the moment. This is a great initiative! Very much worth a read. ⬇️

while I’m being cranky, access journalism needs to go. When the president does his “I’m alpha because I insulted you” thing somebody needs to fall on his sword and say “what the fuck is wrong with you, old man?” on a hot mic. the hero of the wizard of Oz is Toto.

Frank and honest is good!
Q: What did the president mean when he called a reporter "piggy"?

LEAVITT: Look, the president is very frank & honest with everyone in this room. You'll all seen it yourself. You've all experienced it yourselves. And I think it's one of the many reasons the American people reelected this president

please click the link to support the senator!
Bad news: Senator John Fetterman's book isn't selling. We need to support our Democratic senators if we want to take back Congress in 2026. That means walking the walk and putting our money where our mouth is — even if we disagree sometimes.

Support the Fetterman Book Fund!

Umm sorry not sorry Bluesky libs and commies but I agree with President Trump! Treason, sedition should be met with HANGING. I respect and honor the President’s stance on this even though we disagree somewhat on who should be hung.
