This article heavily implies that ICE is being used in a custody dispute to help Karoline Leavitt's brother get his son and have the mother locked up in ICE detention
"A woman with a family connection to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Revere, Massachusetts."

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Remaining residents stood together to announce the formation of a tenants union.

Through the union, residents are demanding the full restoration of heat, electricity, and elevators, along with the removal of standing water, sewage, and mold from the building.

The destruction of the federal government disproportionately affects black women. The federal civil service has long been a good career option because of the strong equal opportunity enforced in the civil service that has historically blunted the double discrimination that black women face.
Since February, according to my latest analysis, almost 600,000 Black women have been economically sidelined. The November 20, 2025, Jobs Report makes clear this isn’t a blip. It’s a structural crisis. That is not a recovery. It is a redistribution of opportunity.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

@governor.pa.gov Pennsylvanian's deserve an explanation as do our state's future generations.
Ok apparently this is actually not widely known: Gov. Shapiro withdrew Pennsylvania from RGGI today as part of a deal to pass a now-4month overdue budget.
So.....did no one else notice that Pennsylvania just dropped RGGI?

Resonates. Hopeful.
I have shared this in previous years, but I don't do new year resolutions.

Instead, I pick a theme word or words.

The past couple years (with an eye to the potential, then definite, looming Trump regime) have been about redundancy & adaptability.

For 2026, I am choosing "light."

In many senses.

The President of the United States is publicly calling for the political prosecution of his political opponents, urging the death penalty because they urged soldiers to uphold the rule of law.

This should be front page news everywhere. It is not, which tells much about how we got to this point.

we are going to win
Today there was an attempted ICE raid in Bensonhurst & community members showed up. Even though NYPD collaborated with ICE by trying to disburse the crowd; community members stood their ground & ICE left without kidnapping a single person per the rapid response groups I'm on. We protect us!

The Constitution is clear - the President has no right to invade our cities. Waging war against our cities isn’t just fascist, it’s national suicide.

To all federal judges: follow Cobb’s lead & End the Occupations, from LA to Memphis to DC.

Next, end the ICE raids that the occupations enable.
A federal judge in Washington has halted the Trump administration’s effort to keep more than 2,000 National Guard troops deployed across the city, finding that D.C. is likely to prove the deployment unlawful. Thank you, Judge Jia M. Cobb!

More issues with the race to build #datacenters in our communities. What good is #AI if most of the benefits seem to be displacing humans from jobs and negative impacts on the environment. Big tech is in a race to win most $$$$. Ethical considerations appear to be absent from the calculations
A couple of months ago, I was out in Richland Parish, LA, talking to people about the new Meta data center being built. Everyone talked about the traffic and reckless drivers.

So, I started looking into it. Their concerns were valid. 🧵

Wonderful to see.
The youth is rising up, they won’t accept excuses anymore. It’s their future that is being taken away, when that realization spreads and young people mobilize, this regime will lose all power. To be clear, this power was always meant for the youth, not for fascists, oligarchs, or a king!

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.
