The evidence is clear that supporting children and young people in the very early stages of life is crucial in preventing ill health in future, including having access to affordable and nutritious food regardless of their background.

Wales’ basic income pilot for care leavers shows how financial security supports mental health. Reduced anxiety, better social connections, and life choices - all from £1,6k a month. A powerful reminder: Stability matters in early adulthood. #MentalHealth #CareLeavers #SocialJustice

A basic income pilot in Wales focused on care leavers and gave them the support to begin their adult lives that many take for granted.
Care leavers were given free money, no strings attached. Here's what happened

Now that it’s confirmed this was an isolated incident with no links to terrorism, I hope it won't be framed as a "mental health" issue as a default explanation for violence. This risks reinforcing stigma and distracting from broader social and individual responsibilities involved.

I must say I'm also relieved it’s been confirmed the driver was a white British man, stopping right-wing voices from twisting this into anti-immigrant hate. Liverpool deserves better than fear and division. Waiting for the news conference for more details now..

I was very close to the awful incident at the #Liverpool victory parade—witnessed it from a distance and still trying to process what I saw. My heart is with those who were injured, their loved ones, and everyone who witnessed the horror up close. Absolutely heartbroken and concerned.

Well that’s me depressed for the weekend. As Glen acidly observes this looks like a pretty transparent effort to shift blame for coming university bankruptcies onto the institutions. Good luck with selling that to whichever MPs are about to lose their constituency’s largest employer.

Important to note this is much bigger than the mayor. While he was the spark, thousands are in the streets now despite bans clashing with cops due to rampant corruption in the current admin, crumbling economy, soaring unemployment, unlawful arrests… The people are fighting for democracy. #Turkey
Picture taken from Turkish Dictionary to summarize “What’s happening in Türkiye?”

“İstanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Türkiye’s strongest opposition candidate for president, has been detained by police.

Yesterday, his university diploma was cancelled, making him unable to run for president.

Protests have been banned for four days.

The Justice system is used to restrict democratic rights.

Be our voice. Don’t let democracy be silenced.”

NEW: Elon Musk’s X has suspended accounts of Turkish opposition groups, suppressing footage of anti-government protests.

So, best we share all the footage we can here!

This was last night’s massive demo against Erdogan’s government, which follows the arrest of his rival Ekrem İmamoğlu.

In case the impact of gov control over universities on autocratization needs to be any clearer:

The university that issued Turkey's would-be opposition pres. candidate just annulled his diploma. Effectively barring his candidacy.

That university's rector was installed by the ruling AKP in 2023.

💡 Why does this matter?
Building stronger, interconnected networks can enhance care integration, reduce inequalities, and better meet community needs. We highlight the role of #DataSharing, #CapacityBuilding, and #PlaceBasedPartnerships in fostering more effective collaboration.
buketkara.bsky.social
🔍Key Findings
✅Despite diverse community support, collaboration was low (2.2%), highlighting the need for stronger networks.
✅Key partnerships were housing/shelter, child/family support & mental health.
✅Organizations mainly collaborated within their own domains, limiting cross-sector integration.
