Okay, I'm familiar with the meme, but...

When the original poster tried to diss on "Activists," I feel like that was targeted towards a lot of folks like us, who would be happy seeing more gay representation and get nothing out of scantily clad women.

Seeing it echoed in a gay context feels weird.

If I were a passionate artist who could just whip something up on a whim, this is the part where I'd sketch my fursona in a cape to drive in the point. Unfortunately, that would require time that would be better spent on my VN. Also, I still don't have a sona yet. Someday...

I don't plan on selling my art in my lifetime, but I would certainly think that I'm the only person who can fairly assess what my time is worth. If it doesn't sell at that price, it would be up to me to reevaluate, not the buyer. Past a certain point, would it be worth my time in the first place?

I hear there's a debate going around about "Is $100 too much for a sketch?"

Lacking much disposable income, getting art commissioned requires inspiration by the perfect artist, perfect idea, perfect time. In that case, I'd pay what it's worth: whatever they normally charge. It's that or nothing.

After 18 months and 45 thousand words, the first ending of my Visual Novel (the Bad end, of course, because it's the quick and easy one) has officially been penned.

Now for the (hopefully) fun part. Time to write some horny scenes for the Good endings.

Maybe it's where I live or the places I frequent, but surprisingly I've very rarely experienced a negative reaction like that. I've gotten plenty of "Well then, more for me" responses, but usually in good humor. And a few "How long have you been sober?" Funny because I never liked the stuff at all.

Finished DK Bananza this week. Honestly the best game I've played in a long time. Maybe the best Mario game ever, and no Mario in sight! Very glad I went for it despite my initial hesitations.

[spoiler] was pretty neat.

Also, these guys are absurdly cute. That is all.

I want to engage more with people on platforms like this, but it's not so much anxiety as just having nothing to say. "Cool" or "Nice job" feels so hollow to write out, and just clicking the heart is so much easier…

It doesn't surprise me at all, but it was funny researching for this post and finding out that the Harkness Test meme originated from furaffinity. Like, I'd heard of this before I was even a Dr. Who fan, and that was years before I joined the furry fandom.

Took me ~2 years to beat Zelda TotK. ~2 weeks for Echoes of Wisdom. Both fantastic, but…bigger is not necessarily better.

Also, couldn't stop laughing about Jabu Jabu because it kept reminding me of this Harkness Test illustration. Jabs falls on the left in this game, so…please do not the fish.

My advice as a bald person for the past ~20 years:
1) Maintenance is so easy and costs nothing, just shave it already
2) Bald(ing) people are cute and hot
3) Don't like how you look without hair? Get a fursuit head and look the hottest you've ever been or can possibly be

I got to eat at a restaurant called Werewolf, where I'm pretty sure the bartender was flirting with me, so that was cool at least. The porkbelly benedict was phenomenal.

Recently went to a multi-state teacher's conference with something like 3,000 attendees. Thought for sure I'd find at least a couple friends on @barq.app, but I couldn't identify a single traveler who was there for the conference. Where are all my fellow furry teachers at?

This blasted thing has been sold out everywhere since launch, but I finally found one in stock just in time to play #DK this weekend. Wasn't immediately sold when the game was announced, but the hype grew since then, and it's definitely living up to it so far. (And that Kong Bananza form... 😳)

The movie was good! Not my favorite "solo" superhero movie, but pretty high up there. Some awkward dialogue in places. Felt more grounded/less artsy than Man of Steel, despite a more fantasy-leaning plot. Don't like what they did with [spoiler character twists], but it served the film in other ways.
