If we're going to keep doing DICE at the Aria every year I'm gonna need the two Starbucks on the second floor to receive unique designators so we can tell them apart.
I have nearly missed meetings because of this problem. DICE organizers would do well to put up banners at each one.
I forgot to put #GameDev

I am exhausted by the Attention Economy.
Believing "everything happens for a reason" makes people look for someone or something to blame whenever something bad happens.

Humans are profoundly uncomfortable with the idea that the universe is nothing but chaos with no purpose.
I no longer have to be jealous of the sledding in the north east. We have a sledding hill at home.
I have never seen an episode of Adventure Time. I do quote Jake the Dog, tho.
Ya'll I'm a crochet prodigy. I made a frog.
It happens all the time. The people who decide what games get made are the people who control money. That's true of everything, though. Games are not unique in this, they just have longer dev times than many things so the cut is deeper when it happens.
The biggest waste of money I’ve seen in video game development, across many years and studios (not my current one - one of the reasons I wanted to work there), wasn’t on graphics. It was abruptly being told to throw out months or years of work bc one executive decided they didn’t like something.
Sometimes people repost their most popular posts of 2024 to get more engagement. Here's mine.
Test post, please ignore #GameDev
Modern manliness is using a utility knife to cut the yarn tails off the wooble lily pad you just finished.
You don't have to go that way early. He's a big wall for early game and is best just ignored for a while.
What a great Christmas present.
