my experience thus far with Indika is that I painstakingly gathered five buckets of water, a nun dumped all my water on the floor, and the game crashed without saving. 10/10 for ludonarrative

Sci-fi movies always made it seem like it would be difficult to tell if AI was alive or not but in real life thus far I have actually found it very easy

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

hmm I wonder what petition is going around that the Republicans in Missouri don't want signed

This sucks. I was browsing Steam recently and saw so many AI slop porn games with some really graphic stuff depicted in trailer and preview images, but the people who put actual work into a weird and disturbing game can’t even get a reason for their ban?

Also your horse themed subheadings are fun

Really wild situation here: a celebrated and well-regarded indie dev and publisher is facing shutdown because Valve banned their game from Steam and won't talk to them about it, at all.

man there is just nothing quite like a collective church recipe book
I'm lucky enough to have a decent cookbook collection, including family recipes and the really random stuff from my grandparents' church group collected recipes or this gem from the officers' wives at Gitmo:

I gave up Googling for recipes over a year ago. I subscribed to a handful of blogs I know consistently have good stuff and few/no ad spam for subscribers, and just use their things only. Or, wild idea, a physical cookbook. It's just impossible to sift through the crap anymore
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

It's funny how this isn't identifiable as a Conservative Opinion but is absolutely the sort of thing that runs on conservative opinion pages. An even split between "the traffic is so bad now" and "Mr. Trump, please exterminate the brutes." A perfectly American intellectual movement in that sense.
At this point, the Washpost edit page is just trolling its readers.

This is today's actual house editorial.
