One cool feature of Steam is they provide a Harassment Zone for each game you announce. It's a place for people who hate progress to come and crap all over games they haven't even played. No, they won't help you moderate it, but hey, at least you can't delete it!

billionaires will never throw money at this sort of thing in a real, meaningful way because they've never had to take out the trash or wash a dish in their lives and have no concept of it being a barrier to anything someone would want to do

call me when the robot can do my dishes and laundry for me and put them all away in the correct drawers/cabinets/closets without my input. that would give me more time to write, the thing AI keeps trying to do (poorly) for me instead.

Copilot notification on work laptop this morning: "Let's make progress on a project! Ask me how to tackle the first step." bud if i didn't know how to do the first step of a project all by myself like a big girl i'm not sure anyone would've hired me to begin with.

The only correct take on a fundamentally anti-human technology.
Screenshot of David Simon interview
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Yes, I agree Mario should be punished! André Breton was so right about him, it's not even funny.

Also, my Super Mario Zodiac is Birdo (with a Luigi rising). This explains everything about me.

Today's breakfast includes banana melon, which I'm trying for the first time. I got a banana melon because the farm box had no fruit in it and it was the last piece of fruit left at one of the little market stalls. It looked like a big gourd, but tastes like cantaloupe.
A photo of a plate with two slices of banana melon, a hard boiled egg cut in half and topped with chili crisp, two slices of toast, a mug, and a French press of coffee

idk when i will internalize the valuable lessons of "it is okay to be upset after a traumatic event happens and you cannot just work through it actually" and "it is important to do creative intake in order to maintain creative outputs" but god i hope it's soon.

some of the better advice i've seen out there for players like me who like this kind of game but usually need a good 10-15 runs at a boss to take it down is to spend the first several attempts not even trying to hit it - just practice not BEING hit for as long as possible. helps me a lot!

but then i just watched back the footage of one boss fight, and it's FAST! i was so fast! look at me go!

one of the most satisfying things about silksong for me is how i feel time start to slow down on each subsequent boss attempt until i kill it. they start out too fast to follow, but with practice, i can feel each second tick by in slow motion between each attack.

if you want your audience to feel the Pervasive Melancholy of your world you do occasionally have to make them laugh. sometimes that involves an opera bug in a feather boa playing dead very badly

I guess this is a general travel thread. Wizz Air states that you are not allow to carry either sharp objects or blunt objects with you on board the flight. I struggle a little with this, ontologically.
