It's enraging. I've just recovered from covid and it was *nasty* and much worse than when I had it in 2021. I'm in otherwise ok health but as a self-employed it has been a nightmare and I couldn't have afforded to do anything that might have helped. Maddening.

But that's the thing about coming out, whether you're LGBT or Q, you're constantly having to think about and manage other people's prejudice. What should be a You problem is made to be a Me problem and the cis hets need to be better, all of you.

I wouldn't choose either. I wish my young self could have been spared the rejection and violence I experienced and I wish my tired old self didn't still live in such a heteronormative world that requires me to repeatedly do something that straight people never have to do.

The first time I came out was over 30 years ago at school when I was outted and it sent my life into a chaos that I still feel the repurcussions of. The last time I came out was two days ago when I had to correct someone's assumption (I know right? look at me)

I rarely look at clearsky but did the other day and I'm blocked by so many swifities (I'd never interracted with) it made me laugh. Though tbf I'd rather be blocked than them come into my mentions.

Just seen that it's World Mental Health Day. I've experienced catastrophically bad mental health but fortunately I'm not doing too badly now. I wish I could say the same for various friends and loved ones, and I also wish mental health services were free, accessible and plentiful...
