The crazy thing is one fucking guy could stop all this quickly, but he’s insane, so that’s probably not going to happen. With the finance/big money folks finally revolt and stop supporting Trump?

If Mike Johnson is refusing to call the House back into session during the shutdown, then we’ll do the work right here the Bronx.

The New York Essential plan is being eliminated entirely next year due to the GOP healthcare cuts. People’s lives are at stake.

And that’s why we’re fighting back.

Saw a video comparing the AI bubble to the Nifty 50 stock crash of 1973, and it feels like the closest parallel, certainly moreso than the dotcom bubble. In 1973 it turned out the top 50 stocks were overvalued by x10 and a combination of the oil crisis and the Nixon Shock made the market crash

Senate is back in session today.

1/ So a quick 🧵on where things are at on the shutdown.

You get a lot of propaganda and spin thrown at you, so I want to give you the real, behind-the-scenes tea.

It looks like every media company in American that covers the Pentagon except OAN is refusing to sign Hegseth’s ultimatum.

I’m fairly convinced that the only thing that stops the craziness is a massive economic crash. Then the money people, the folks with all the power, will say OK, enough is enough. And they will stop it, maybe.

Honestly kind of amazing how publicly stressed they seem to be about this protest. I’m used to big demos being ignored or co-opted.

Almost like this is unpopular personalist regime knows how brittle it is!

Are House Republicans going to finally show up to work this week or is their extended vacation going to continue? Many Americans take a week or two vacation if they are lucky during summers. House Republicans take the entire Fall off, after lengthy breaks in Spring and Summer.

Yes. It’s all needs to crash before they will realize it I’m afraid

STEPHANOPOULOS: ProPublica reported that several members of the Trump administation have similar questions about their mortgages

VANCE: ProPublica is basically a left-wing blog

S: Do you dispute the facts they reported?

VANCE: I haven't read it. I have no idea. I certainly question the source

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

The people who want violent protests to happen are Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, Tom Homan, and other senior appointees in his admin. They are doing everything they possibly can to provoke people to violence and it is obvious that is what they hope for daily.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

It's wild that we've reached a point where the President openly admits to firing people for political reasons, and his OMB director tweets about it like it's a victory. This is page one of the authoritarian playbook, happening in plain sight.
