The fanfic ecosystem is a lot brighter with people like Shady (and many others I could name!) curating a list of recs containing many, many different writers.

I’m sure every Haladriel I follow is already aware of this list but it deserves a wee boost.

It's not even a tone thing because - and I am NOT saying for a minute I believe it should be transactional because I too don't have time to read everything either - they never seem to check out any of your stuff or even reply, so then my brain starts turning over thinking I did something wrong.

Yeah I don’t think S1 or S2 are perfect but I’m tired of feeling like I need to pay the “I know Tolkien, honest!” toll by qualifying my love for the show by shitting on it or letting other people shit on it by allowing them a foot in the door via my legit criticism!
