Let’s stop pretending that both parties are making concerted efforts to prevent citizens from exercising their constitutional right to vote, or that vote prevention efforts affect rich whites and poorer non white communities equally.

Palast isn't new to this topic. He ran extensive analysis of the suppression of primarily Black votes in Florida in 2000 that led to the installation of GW Bush as president. There's a ton of info out there if you want to know, but if you want to pretend it's not happening, that's your right.

Of course GOP is happy to suppress all likely Dem votes, but yes, Black voters are more heavily affected, as you'd learn if you read the article. "For example, an audit by the State of Washington found that a Black voter was 400% more likely than a white voter to have their mail-in ballot rejected."

Ok sure, if you’re not interested in informing yourself, of course you’re under no obligation. But based on your words, you’d probably be happy to see how thorough and creative the right wing groups have been in inventing methods to prevent likely Dem voters, particularly Black ones, from voting.

Hand counting is impractical at such large scale, but the key is hand MARKING - pen & paper, no machinery between voters and their ballots. Then, optical scan counting & risk-limiting audits.
