Lovely walk in the Galloway Forest Park at Kirroughtree this afternoon.
This was Big Bruntis Loch💚
Nowhere near as gloomy as it looks - if you look carefully, you can see a tiny bit of blue sky reflected in the water.
Saw and heard some Jays 😊

It started off quite foggy here this morning, one of "those" autumn mornings 😊
Look at the spiders' webs on our neighbour's hedge, aren't they amazing? 🕷️
Or maybe they're fairy hammocks, made of gossamer and silk? 😂

A small-leaved hedge, possibly a lonicera, you know, one of those ones that never flower?
There is a green grass field beyond the hedge and one end of our neighbour's washing line.
The hedge has many Spiders' webs. There's probably one every 10 to 20 cm.

In Scottish folklore, golden butterflies were associated with good luck, with a sighting near a grave suggesting the soul was in heaven.
This piece came about after the loss of my mother, now resting with her Scottish mother.
