Ultra Q the Movie I know I'm gonna rewatch again in my lifetime, but that experience of seeing it for the first time let alone seeing jissoji with a movie budget, its a must watch for any ultra fan, really any sci-fi fan

still hits strongly on my third watch, a beautiful and relevant story that is true to Jissoji's sensibilities, honesties, and impulses.

I get the love people have for his Buddhist films, but they aren't *him*.

you should watch steel jeeg, not only is it a great show but its also the best non robot romance mecha of the decade to have toei's name attached to it, very delightful show where I always leave with a smile and might like more than what I saw of og gaiking
