The three championships Magic and Cap's Lakers won after the Nixon trade are talked about more, but Norm was the engine on that '82 squad that only lost 2 games the entire playoffs. Deserves more props.

Hollander POTD Norm Nixon. Star PG for LAL from 77-83 before trade to SD. Contrary to lore, he wasn't immediately hurt after trade. Had 3 good yrs & was all-star in 84-85 but then hurt knee playing softball & then blew Achilles. Played briefly in 88-89 before retiring.
