A quick thread on how RePEc serves you on Bluesky:

1/ You can add your Bluesky handle in your author profile. It will then be listed on your IDEAS page and wherever your name appears on IDEAS.

RePEc is run by volunteers, thus we rely a lot on self-help: publishers push their metadata, authors maintain their profiles, users can contact publishers about errors and omissions, etc. Do not hesitate to be proactive!

Bots are back with a vengeance, hitting IDEAS at a record rate. Sunday saw as many page hits as for a half year of usual robot filtered traffic. This is going to make the November statistics even more problematic than October. The server is mostly holding up though.

Why are there two RePEc sites offering similar services? Because we believe in healthy competition and want to offer users choices! And do not worry, we do collaborate.

RePEc does not add research works automatically to an author's profile because there are too many people with similar names. Thus, do check your account from time to time, something may be waiting for your action!

Given the constant struggles with AI bots hitting my server, I considered using Cloudflare. But the cost is high, and it adds another possible point of failure. I guess I was right.

We are still working on cleaning the data for the October RePEc statistics. A blog post next week will explain the situation.

Much like authors, publishers also get a monthly email with #RePEc statistics. It includes errors and warnings about their metadata and results from a link checker run. We cannot find content errors and omissions, but you can help, their email address is listed on the relevant RePEc pages. #EconSky

There are no plans to integrate AI in RePEc. We only offer real metadata from the publishers.

The monthly RePEc statistics will be delayed. The cleaning of the data requires much more work than usual, and once again we can thank the AI bots.
