The timing does work for Australia but Wednesday is when I see patients 🦷

The rest of my team participating should be there and I will be hoping I don’t have a 9 o’clock 🩷

Please join us for a promising and meaningful book club with author @josheyler.bsky.social.

Josh has been wonderfully generous with his time and expertise.

We have 76 folks signed up already. Hope you can join us in February! 😀

Visited the Ant exhibit at the #melbournemuseum today… my kids seemed a bit old but it was really awesome - a wonderful sensory experience.

And amongst that all I could think about @phlaimeaux.bsky.social was #wdydy and Huge Davies you tube he follows 🐜

Ants are fascinating

Same here, Clare — saw all those familiar names and felt a bit nostalgic about the vibrant community we built back in the day!

Getting ready for the #fof-book-club reading @josheyler.bsky.social Failing Our Future.

Felt a sense of loss reading the acknowledgments knowing how connected all these people were on the other platform and how I felt so welcomed in their community.

The introduction page of Josh Eyler’s book Failing our future - a book about how the reliance on grades sets people up with unrealistic expectations and the negative impact this has on us in so many ways.

It wasn’t as creative as I hoped at the beginning of the year.

I have been thinking Sustain is the word of 2025 - sustain a work-life harmony, sustain yourself and your family, sustain your team through the breaking down of a toxic workplace and then maybe 2026 will be Restore 🤷🏻‍♀️

My 2024 word was Create…. Hadn’t settled on a 2025 word - maybe #bemoredolly will suit me too 🩷
karencaswell.bsky.social
This is the first year in six years that I haven’t chosen a ‘One Word’. Instead of a word this year I’m choosing “Be More Dolly” as my motto.

Past One Words:
2024 - Embrace
2023 - Discover
2022 - Purpose
2021 - Intentional
2020 - Create
2019 - Authentic

First day for 2025 @ Unimelb (no handle yet) Melbourne Dental School for it was a pleasant day after a wonderful holiday.

2024 in #highered #assessment has been brutal. I hit proper #burnout after loitering close to burning out in 2022 & 2023 - it’s hard to come back from.

I’m really looking forward to refreshing over our summer and coming back to fulfil my life & my work and try to get some kind of harmony.
claremcnally.bsky.social
Oh thank you so much - I’m still working out the Bluesky space and connections ♥️

Could I be added to this group?

Q1: A few, but one that sticks out was when I saw a pattern of students putting “doing it right” (evidenced by grades) over embracing the process (learning). I’m a grad faculty member so my goal is to develop critical thinkers. With no grades we can focus on learning. #UngradingChat #SlowChatting
