Tech Support maven, big huge Guster Fan, i love dogs and stuff. Refusing to call it Gulf of America because that screws up the lyrics to "Up On Cripple Creek," and I will die on that hill.

An epic loss for journalism.
first halloween year in our new house. didn't know what to expect of the neighborhood. Got about 30 halloweeners, bought candy for 3000.

DWG & GWG will be enjoying the bountiful overpurchase of all our faves for the next few days. My A1c says "no, please don't" and I listen to it.
we saw ours on Monday Night Football. it was Macys.

not even halloween yet and they did me dirty while I was watching football.
take THAT you shitty sweater in the back of my closet that I haven't worn since 1986!!!! you're next!
Annual reminder that the fake spider webs you stretch across your front porch look nothing like spider webs and instead just look like you murdered a sweater and have hung up its flayed corpse as a grim warning to all other knitwear.

"...we'll see what happens. i would love to do it. i have the numbers."

no you won't. stop talking about this. stop "flirting" w/ the idea. Shut up Bannon, Shut up everyone.

Absolutely illegal, absolutely unconstitutional.

Just everyone STFU. Do not feed the troll.
Trump keeps flirting with the idea of a third term. That would be unconstitutional
A recent interview with Steve Bannon reignited chatter about whether President Trump would try to run in 2028, despite the 22nd Amendment.

About 30+ years ago, I was the booking person for a coffeehouse in the Boston Area. Indie Folk was HUGE then. I got tons and tons and tons of demo tapes... Everyone got a listen.

A select few got booked. To this day I'm still friends with some of these amazing people!
Toffee REFUSES to go outside if it is actively raining, and if the grass is damp, and if the sidewalk looks like it is moist.

She has not been out since 5pm yesterday. The Pretty Pittie Princess that she is will wait.

Good news is it has stopped raining in our neighborhood!
Look at Josh doing all the Boston NPR pubmedia thingsssss!!!!!
Because... of course this administration has. Of course.
Did you know there are tons of Public Radio stations that are not NPR? These are called Non-Commercial or NonComm stations.

Stations across the country are celebrating PubRadio Music Day today, check out the happenings page to see what's what!

It is about New Music Discovery. Break out of your playlists that you've been listening to for years & years. Try on some new tunes.

It’s Public Radio Music Day. It’s a celebration of art over algorithms. It’s a celebration of discovery, diversity, and deep listening. Keep the music playing in stations across the nation.

Stand up for the NPR Network’s commitment to free, public-access music at the link here: n.pr/47jpe4d
That's such a great Kruk Quote. I love it.
I personally have a couple wicked nice Amy creations. Support makers who make wonderful things. Check out her Etsy and get you some stuff!
I'd love if you checked out the things I've created and maybe get a lil' something for yourself or a friend, or share my Etsy link (in comments). I also make things custom. www.etsy.com/shop/TinType...

Lean into the fall weather vibe with some kitchen joy.

Chicken stock, chicken salad with apples and walnuts, oatmeal pecan cookies, and walnuts ready for some toll house later today.

Soup and everything season.

i feel this.
"I DON'T NEED YOU TO FUCKING REWRITE WHAT I'VE JUST WRITTEN!"
@maustermuhle.bsky.social today we parked near MP 103 of the C&O canal, walked nearly to 105, turned around and came back. I remembered your fantastic writeup of biking the C&O. Glad it is still in an alive archive for me to go back & read tonight.

Hope you are doing fantastic.
Also I do realize I am probably not the only one to think this so I'm not claiming at all to be some sort of comic headline genius or anything.

This was just an early morning thought while setting up the coffee to brew and I made myself laugh.
if in the race for VA governor, Winsome Earl-Sears loses, and at least ONE news organization does not write a headline of "You Win Some, You Lose Some" I will be sorely disappointed.

Any digital news folk who follow me, you're welcome for this awesome headline gift. No need to credit or pay me.
