… did I write this and forget I wrote it?
If I ask you how your little one is getting on, it's because I am genuinely interested, I just can't remember their name. Sorry.
Had a lovely walk along the Baker Way with my mum today. 14 miles from Delamere to Chester! The longest walk I’ve done in years and my feet and hips are protesting strongly.
And also why this train to Chester with all the local stops is only hourly. 🤯
I’m on a train from Altrincham to Delamere Forest and I’m once again wondering why the tram doesn’t go to Hale. It’s two mins from Altrincham on the train so why not extend the tram? It seems like a lovely town when seen from the train but I’ve never visited in person!
Having a very confusing moment this morning as I realise for the first time that Julia Ormond and Juliette Binoche are in fact different people. I’m so rubbish with faces - I definitely thought Binoche was in Miss Smila’s Feeling for Snow.
Same! I save turbo for kids+hills. Did your battery last the whole journey? Or do you have two?
Wow which level of assist did you use to manage 50 miles? Impressive!
Oh and another thing I love about these pantos is that they are firmly aimed at preschool age so are totally age-appropriate. No rude jokes or innuendo. Barely any reference to romance. A strong message about being yourself and fairness and kindness. My cup of tea!
What was really great was being in a room full of kids and especially adults who unashamedly love CBeebies. Sang along with the music from previous pantos before the show even started. Cheered for every character’s entrance. Did all the dance moves and panto responses with gusto.
And it was fab! The kids loved it! So wholesome and heartwarming. The songs were great. Absolutely loved Maddie and Rebecca and Joanna as the baddies. Can’t wait to see it again on tv in December.
Achievement unlocked: went to see the CBeebies Christmas panto live! Am a big fan of CBeebies and the amazing presenters and always wanted to see the panto live. It was in Bradford this year which was close enough for us and this year might be the last time both kids are young enough.
Grateful to the IT person who patiently explained Teams to me because I am a DINOSAUR who hasn’t worked in an office since March 2020.
Started my new job this week! Me and the tern will be whizzing around to different places in the area. I’m very excited. #bikesky
This morning the kids were desperate to go on a bike ride with grandad and nana Sue so we all cycled to Riverbank cafe - three generations of cyclists out together!
No, and nothing will ever change my mind that it’s a deeply antisocial thing to do.
Do you let your kid climb the slide at the park or not? Your answer likely determines if we would get along.
Thank you! I think a poncho is a good place to start.
Hmm people who work in active travel - what do you wear that is reasonably smart but also suitable for walking/cycling/being out in all weathers? And then what do you wear if you are a plus-sized woman? Having a panic as everything I own seems frumpy or no good for cycling.
I’d like that! So many good bike paths I don’t know!
The Middlewood Way is somewhere I’d really like to cycle. It looks lovely. Shame if the surface isn’t maintained though.
I got the job!!
Amazed, in the best way, by a job description that includes the line “ability to travel sustainably to schools and communities across [location]”.
It was a very informative tour! So much history! And the library is very aesthetically pleasing.
I thought of you while visiting Chetham’s library today! I nearly asked the tour guide about white gloves just to give her the chance to put me right.
