The atmosphere is a tad unsettled tonight ahead of some approaching low pressure. Here's a look at the #Haleakala #sunset, and an image looking southeast towards the Big Island....

That makes sense. We like strolling the thrift store, though lately a lot of clothes there are from Shein and I sure am not paying for that. I don’t even think Zara is much good. The pieces are stylish but the majority is polyester made. I do like Nordstrom Rack and Etsy for independent labels.

Couple years ago a peer asked my kid how Germans let Hitler and his goons happen.
You know, unlike today, there was a bit of a barrier in terms of what people were able to know. We now have knowledge at our fingertips, and yet here we are.

Took a stroll through Zara. Them prices are wild and because I wanted to make sure I am not crazy I did some internet looking.

Picked a random shirt from a EU Zara page that’s priced at 29.95€.
Converting that to USD is not quite $35.
That same shirt is $49.90 in the US.

Spinach quiche is something I make when I don’t feel like making anything.
Pizza is another thing, coz pizza dough is quickly made, add toppings, call it a day.
Though mostly we just have salad and bread for dinner, coz I don’t like cooking in the evening. It has been greek salad a lot lately 😬

Doing math with the kid after lunch today was probably not the smartest idea. It’s a bit of a struggle. I feel for all the kids coming home from school with homework to finish in the late afternoon. This has to be unpleasant.

Spouse picked up Eggnog this afternoon. I am about to slurp an eggnog latte. Dropped some Sunday words. I dropped them before I got a call from my sister asking if my grandma could come visit to celebrate her 90th Birthday with us in Hawai’i. What news.

My coffee wasn’t photogenic enough to take a proper ‘camera and coffee on the table’ image. Though I think they are only worth sharing when it’s a Leica anyways.

Alle haben ihre Positionen fest eingenommen; ein Großteil auf Zuschauerplätzen. Vor allem aber: Die meisten wissenschaftlichen Akteure wollen auch gar nicht.

There are a couple of shopping cart corrals in each parking row, but that’s still 5 meters too far to walk. Image being in a wheelchair, pushing a stroller or need walking assistance and you find yourself on this walkway. We gotta be more considerate of others.

It was a foggy almost 2am on my front porch. I’m rarely awake at 2am, let alone outside at that hour. But it was a weird night. And I thought this was weirdly cool.

Reapplying sunscreen at the beach this morning and asking the teenager: “On a scale of one to white, how white am I?”

She answered with: “You always add plenty of spices to your dishes.”

Thank you, I guess but that didn’t tell me if I needed to rub in my sunscreen a bit more. 🫠😂
