The only video game I've ever played was Hong Kong Mahjong by Nine Dragons Software: the only computer version of the actual game I've ever seen, and played with Cantonese Old-Style rules. Not into horror at all because we actually live in an American Horror Story (Myrtle Snow still rules).

Today the sky was the color of a solar eclipse as thousands walked across the floating bridge in the Venice lagoon to the Island of San Michele to visit the ancestors on All Saints Day. From 2019 (Dante’s Barque is still sunk)-> venetiancat.blogspot.com/2019/11/hono...

This isn’t just an improper blending of church and state.

It’s a twisted mockery of Christianity that ought to offend any actually devout Christian.

Showing armed soldiers moving into battle as you lip service “… as we forgive those who trespass against us” sorta misses the point.
Add a dose of propaganda to your morning coffee.. This smells of Russian-like “special operation”

Some charts for those who don't know the extent of the US public (and private) investment in research (particularly in biomedical research) compared to other countries and institutions. The destruction of the US' scientific institutions has global implications.

Unless you’ve been on SNAP or had to be a cashier in a grocery store while someone discovers the insane restrictions placed on SNAP food choices, I simply think you should shut the hell up about food access.

"When I'm directing an opera, I dream about a film, when I'm working on a film, I dream about an opera, and when I'm doing a play, I'm dreaming about music. Working in another field is a change, a rest. You must always work with pleasure."

The Trump admin. has justified cuts on fiscal grounds: The federal budget deficit is massive; the Social Security retirement system could soon become insolvent.

But the disability program is paid for, via payroll taxes, by its own trust fund, separate from the one for the retirement program.
Red State Workers Could Lose Out on Disability Benefits as Trump Administration Rewrites Eligibility Rules
Planned changes to Social Security’s disability program could leave hundreds of thousands of older blue-collar workers ineligible for aid. These changes would fall disproportionately on some of Presid...

No, Mr. President.

You do not have the right to take away student debt forgiveness from teachers, nurses, veterans and other public servants if they do not show loyalty to your right-wing political agenda.

This is a democracy, not a dictatorship. Rescind this illegal rule.
Trump moves to block public servants from loan forgiveness based on ideology
Those who work with undocumented immigrants, provide gender transition care for minors or publicly protest could be blocked from student loan forgiveness under a new rule.

I'm not a Nobel winning economist, but it seems to me the world's largest retailer and the worlds largest delivery services laying off hundreds of thousands right before the busiest retail and delivery season of the year is perhaps not an optimistic indicator of Trump's promised "Golden Age"

After whatever happened in Butler, PA, when Trump got to the hospital, the first thing he said to aides was, "How is it playing? How does it look on TV?"

Are those the words of a man who had just survived a real assassination attempt?

Note: while not unprecedented, it’s actually pretty rare for a sitting Catholic bishop to participate in a demonstration. It’s just not generally what Catholic bishops do.

Thus: Getting the hierarchy involved in this protest outside an ICE facility is no small thing.
Chicago Auxiliary Bishop José María Garcia-Maldonado at ICE detention facility: “Being here is an act of holiness…soon we will seek access to the facility to bring the Eucharist to our brothers and sisters; if they say no again, we will keep praying.”
